메리 크리스마스 - Christmas in Korea
Well Christmas festivities are winding down for me. Tonight (Christmas night) I am heading up to the bus station to hopefully take an overnight bus up to Incheon Airport. Not really looking forward to it but it seems to be the best way for me to get to the airport tomorrow. Its going to be a loooonnng trek though. But oh well...that is sometimes what travelling is all about! I'm not sure how much Internet access I will have where I'm heading, but I'm sure I'll overload everybody with pictures when I get back!
Yesterday, Christmas eve, I went out for Lunch with HyoJoo which was really awesome. We went for Tacos and then a nice long walk along Haeundae and Dongbaek Island (behind the Westin Chosen). After I met Matt and Miah for dinner. We had a small/fun Christmas party/gift exchange at a wonderful BBQ restaurant. We then when to Suyoung Church and listened to a Christmas concert/service which was enjoyable.
Today I was up early in the morning to phone people back home to wish them a Merry Christmas. It was really great to talk to everybody. I especially enjoyed doing the Video conference with my grandparents and parents. I haven't really done much video chatting but it made me feel like I was home with them. Then this afternoon Hyeon and Matt came over where we indulged in lots of smoked salmon, home Christmas baking, imported beer and played Uno and Monopoly. It was so nice to have something very low-key for a change...and also nice to have people over to the apartment instead of going out somewhere.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Years!
I'm off to Thailand!
